About This Trip:

Patagonia: The Wild Is Waiting

If Patagonia has ever felt like a far-off dream, it’s time to make it real!
This is not just another trip; it’s an immersion into one of the last truly wild places on Earth.

During 9 days, you’ll journey across the highlights of the Chilean and Argentine Patagonia, following a path that blends the icons you’ve heard about, with places you never imagined existed.

Hike through valleys carved by ancient glaciers and endless mountains, feel the spray of ice-blue water on your face, watch the first lights of day hit the beautiful ranges of Torres del Paine and Fitz Roy and  share stories with the people who call this land home.

Every step of the way, you’ll be guided by our Expedition Leader and a team of passionate local experts — people who don’t just know the trails, but live and breathe this land. We keep our groups small so you can connect with your fellow travelers, move at a comfortable pace, and soak in every wild, breathtaking moment without feeling rushed.

From cozy mountain refugios under a star-filled sky to the thrill of sailing past towering ice walls, from the taste of fresh-baked bread at a Chilean once to the smoky flavors of an authentic Argentine asado, this journey is designed to awaken your senses and leave you with stories you’ll tell for the rest of your life.

Patagonia is calling. The wild is waiting for you.

Epic Explorers:

Pedro Serrano

Expedition March 2025

“For me, this trip was a dream come true.
The Fitz Roy trek was the trail I enjoyed the most. It was more alpine, with the river and the autumn colors, which I love. I also found it very adventurous, with the wind and the clouds—it felt like a challenge.
If I could choose one word to define traveling with Epic Patagonia Trips, it would be AUTHENTIC. Meeting the local people, feeling comfortable and close. There’s nothing artificial about this trip. You feel at home, and that makes you want to explore and experience Patagonian life even more.”

Sarai Bes

Expedition March 2025

“This trip has literally been like experiencing the end of the world. I’ve seen things I’ve never seen before and felt things I’ve never felt before.
The landscapes, the fauna, and the flora are truly breathtaking. Seeing pumas! It was one of my dreams, and it came true with the Torres del Paine in the background—it was the highlight of the trip. The penguins too—they’re beautiful!
Traveling with Epic was wonderful! The atmosphere, the camaraderie, being together. For me, it was perfect.”

Antonio Franco

Expedition March 2025

“I’ve been wanting to take this trip for many years, and it’s truly been a dream come true.
Reaching the base of the Torres del Paine Mountains was the most epic moment for me. After having seen many, many mountains throughout my life, seeing the Torres del Paine Mountains was indescribable.
Also, being able to hike the trails of Fitz Roy in the autumn colors is exceptional for any photography lover. Being able to photograph the mountains full of color is extraordinary.
This trip has been about sharing and discovering new things every moment.”

Verónica Ghiara

Expedition December 2024

“My experience with Epic Patagonia Trips was excellent, starting with our Expedition Leader coordination. She had everything super well-prepared and made sure we had everything we needed. She’s a great professional and a great person, approachable and committed to the group, making her an adventurer of her own.
If you add to that the beautiful place that is Navarino Island, the trekking, the kayaking, and all the people I met there, then I’m taking away so much more than I could have imagined.
This trip has given me so much energy and reminded me that life is always now and is a gerund; life is enjoyed by doing.”

Adrián Romero

Expedition December 2024

“Epic offers the ideal conditions and facilities to develop a trip that would be much more difficult to accomplish on my own.
The perfect balance between an organized experience and the freedom of traveling independently, without a plan that ties you down 100% like large agencies with a large number of people.
It was a unique experience that I would definitely repeat.”

Arrive in the modern and vibrant capital of Santiago de Chile, where the Andes meet the Pacific.
Our team will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2

Puerto Natales – Gateway to Patagonia

The adventure begins! ✈️
Fly south to the charming coastal town of Puerto Natales, nestled on the shores of the Última Esperanza fjord (“Last Hope”).

Later, share a traditional Chilean once with local shepherds and watch their loyal sheepdogs at work — a glimpse into rural Patagonian life few travelers ever see.

Day 3

Torres del Paine - Viewpoint Hikes

Lace up your boots and venture into the 8th wonder of the world!

We’ll start exploring the park by doing a range of short hikes to different viewpoints

At night, stay in a mountain refugio inside the park, and step outside after dark to admire the star-filled skies at the end of the world.

Day 4

Torres del Paine – Base Torres Trek

Today’s challenge is the iconic Base Torres trek: cross hanging bridges over wild rivers, wind through Nothofagus forests, and ascend to the foot of the three granite towers rising dramatically above a turquoise glacial lagoon.

After the hike, we’ll go back to Puerto Natales, share a nice meal and relax with a local beer!

Day 5

Cross to Argentina

We’ll journey across the border into Argentina, crossing the vast pampa and arriving in the trekking capital of El Chaltén, a cozy mountain town on the feet of the mythical Fitz Roy.

Everwonder to see the Patagonia brand logo in real life?
Today is the chance!

Day 6

El Chaltén – Mountaineers’ Paradise

After several action-packed days, it’s time for a well-deserved pause. Enjoy a free day to explore El Chaltén at your own pace — stroll through its colorful streets, sample fresh medialunas (Argentina’s beloved pastries), or take a short hike to scenic viewpoints offering postcard-perfect vistas of Mount Fitz Roy.

Day 7

Laguna de los Tres Trek – Mt. Fitz Roy

This is Patagonia at its most iconic.

Embark on the legendary Laguna de los Tres hike, following winding trails through lenga forests and past glacial streams until you reach the stunning turquoise lagoon at the base of Mount Fitz Roy. Watch as the jagged peaks reflect on the water — a sight you’ll never forget. In the evening, transfer to El Calafate for a well-earned rest.

Day 8

Perito Moreno – Glacier & Asado

Experience one of nature’s most astonishing spectacles: the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Stroll along the panoramic walkways to hear the thunderous cracks as giant ice chunks break off and crash into the lake below.

Later, jump into a boat and navigate to the ice upclose.

In the afternoon, celebrate your journey with a traditional argentinean asado and complete with sizzling meats, fine Malbec wine, and the warm camaraderie of your travel companions.

Day 9

Farewell… or Keep Exploring

Your Patagonian adventure may end here, but the story doesn’t have to.

Whether you choose to fly home or extend your trip, we’ll help you craft the perfect next chapter.

Personal transfer to the El Calafate airport depending on your departure time.

Difficulty

This trip is rated Moderate - Challenging. The expedition includes:
  • Two short hikes: 1–3 hours hikes through Torres del Paine most epic viewpoints.
  • Two long hikes: 7–9 hours each, 20–23 km, +1,000 m elevation gain.
While these are non-technical hikes, a good level of fitness is required. Along the way, we’ll take breaks to rest, enjoy snacks, and soak in the breathtaking views of Patagonia—this is not a race, and the reward is in the journey. Trails can be rugged and exposed, and the weather in Patagonia is famously unpredictable—you may experience all four seasons in a single day. During hikes, you’ll only need to carry a small daypack with your packed lunch, water, and extra layers.
