About This Trip:

Patagonia: Authentic, Local, Epic.

This journey is not about checking boxes on a map — it’s about uncovering the hidden corners of Chilean Patagonia, where silence still reigns and authenticity thrives.
Over twelve days, you’ll explore diverse landscapes and complete five unforgettable treks: from the mythical Base Torres in Torres del Paine to secret trails across austral forests, vast pampas, and a surreal field of dormant volcanoes. Every hike brings a new dimension of Patagonia, revealing terrains that few travelers have ever set foot on.
Along the way, the wild comes alive: condors soaring overhead, herds of guanacos grazing across the steppe, and untouched ecosystems that remind you why Patagonia remains one of the last great frontiers.
Our Expedition Leaders and local guides are not just experts in the outdoors; they’re guardians of Patagonia’s secrets. With small groups, you’ll keep the pace human, moments unhurried, and connections genuine.
This is more than a trip. It’s an invitation to discover Patagonia’s hidden soul — one hike, one story, one epic moment at a time.

Epic Explorers:

Pedro Serrano

Expedition March 2025

“For me, this trip was a dream come true.
The Fitz Roy trek was the trail I enjoyed the most. It was more alpine, with the river and the autumn colors, which I love. I also found it very adventurous, with the wind and the clouds—it felt like a challenge.
If I could choose one word to define traveling with Epic Patagonia Trips, it would be AUTHENTIC. Meeting the local people, feeling comfortable and close. There’s nothing artificial about this trip. You feel at home, and that makes you want to explore and experience Patagonian life even more.”

Sarai Bes

Expedition March 2025

“This trip has literally been like experiencing the end of the world. I’ve seen things I’ve never seen before and felt things I’ve never felt before.
The landscapes, the fauna, and the flora are truly breathtaking. Seeing pumas! It was one of my dreams, and it came true with the Torres del Paine in the background—it was the highlight of the trip. The penguins too—they’re beautiful!
Traveling with Epic was wonderful! The atmosphere, the camaraderie, being together. For me, it was perfect.”

Antonio Franco

Expedition March 2025

“I’ve been wanting to take this trip for many years, and it’s truly been a dream come true.
Reaching the base of the Torres del Paine Mountains was the most epic moment for me. After having seen many, many mountains throughout my life, seeing the Torres del Paine Mountains was indescribable.
Also, being able to hike the trails of Fitz Roy in the autumn colors is exceptional for any photography lover. Being able to photograph the mountains full of color is extraordinary.
This trip has been about sharing and discovering new things every moment.”

Verónica Ghiara

Expedition December 2024

“My experience with Epic Patagonia Trips was excellent, starting with our Expedition Leader coordination. She had everything super well-prepared and made sure we had everything we needed. She’s a great professional and a great person, approachable and committed to the group, making her an adventurer of her own.
If you add to that the beautiful place that is Navarino Island, the trekking, the kayaking, and all the people I met there, then I’m taking away so much more than I could have imagined.
This trip has given me so much energy and reminded me that life is always now and is a gerund; life is enjoyed by doing.”

Adrián Romero

Expedition December 2024

“Epic offers the ideal conditions and facilities to develop a trip that would be much more difficult to accomplish on my own.
The perfect balance between an organized experience and the freedom of traveling independently, without a plan that ties you down 100% like large agencies with a large number of people.
It was a unique experience that I would definitely repeat.”

Difficulty

This trip is rated Moderate to Challenging. The adventure includes five treks:
  • 1 iconic long hike – the Base Torres trek (7–9 hours, 20–22 km, +1,000 m elevation gain).
  • 4 hidden trails – ranging from short to moderate (2–6 hours), crossing forests, pampas, volcanic plains, and coastal routes.
While these hikes are non-technical, a good level of fitness is required. Trails can be steep, rocky, and exposed to Patagonia’s famously unpredictable weather — you may experience sunshine, wind, rain, and even snow in the same day. In addition, the itinerary includes an active kayaking excursion on Lago Chelenko. No prior kayaking experience is necessary, but participants should feel comfortable on the water. During all activities, you’ll only carry a small daypack with lunch, water, and extra layers. Our guides set a steady, supportive pace, ensuring that the reward is not just the destination — but the journey itself.
